Karen Blanzy is a music teacher and musical director now living near Enniscorthy, Co Wexford, Ireland.  She has been a teaching artist of piano, singing and musical theatre for over twenty-five years, across three continents.  Her students have won competitions, scholarships and awards, recorded albums, topped charts, excelled at exams, and appeared on stages and screens all over the world. She has directed children in professional operas and shows such as Tosca, Turandot, Carmen, La Bohème, Evita, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Scrooge, The King and I, and Whistle Down the Wind, and has been musical director for countless other productions (including one that made it into the Guinness Book of World Records!). As a singer, Karen was lucky enough to be a member of the international award-winning choir Anúna, and to sing with multiple-Grammy Award winning singer-songwriter Tom Chapin, both in Ireland and the US.
